NATURAL CANARIAN Atlantia ALOE VERA
Research has been carried out time and again to discover the purest sources of Aloe Vera. Some may argue otherwise but our Aloe Vera cultivated in the Canary Islands in Tenerife is grown in the perfect climate for the plant to thrive. Aloe Vera needs a warm and arid climate to grow successfully and our cultivations benefit from both. Studies have shown that Canarian Aloe Vera has extraordinary benefits for skin regeneration and additional health benefits too. With this in mind we work to ensure our products retain as many of the active and natural properties of the original plant as possible.
Though we sell a range of products, most incorporate our natural Aloe Vera gel which is produced 100% naturally from our freshly harvested plants. No dried concentrates are used in Atlantia Aloe Vera and this ensures the natural properties of the Aloe Vera are retained as we make our gel.
All Atlantia Aloe Vera is grown and cultivated without the use of any synthetic chemicals in the form of fertiliser, pesticide, fungicide or any other additions to help their growth. All leaves are “hand filleted” before the gel is extracted, a process which once again removes the need for additional input from chemicals.
Extracting and Processing Atlantia Aloe Vera
Our Aloe Vera plant grow for up to five years before their leaves are harvested. At this point the plant has reached its optimal strength, in terms of its many health benefits. The leaves are collected, washed and the outer layers are gently removed to allow the gel to be reached.
Within the leaves the gelatinous pulp which holds the gel is extracted from the fillets (another name for the stripped back leaves). The fillets are the crushed, so any impurities and undesired elements can be removed from them and the gel can be safely stored.
